Anti-Doping: USAD Suspends 5 BJJ Black Belts for Anti-Doping.

Suspended for 3 years of competition for their role in Anti-Doping

Anti-Doping: USAD suspends 5 BJJ black belts for anti-doping. They well-known in the BJJ community. They will be suspended for 3 years of competition for their role in Anti-Doping. This, to me is very upsetting for me. I look up to these guys for what they stand for and what they have done for jiu-jitsu. I took up jiu-jitsu because is honorable and hard and need a lot of discipline to continue jiu-jitsu. I’m very proud to be part of the BJJ community and who I look up to and follow..

Anti-Doping is a risk

Cyborg said he does take the performance enhance drugs. So, he can compete at a high level and his 43 years old. He can recover quickly. So, he his basically saying to other athletes and to younger athletes that’s its ok to take enhance performing drugs. You can compete at a high level? They say jiu-jitsu was mad for the small guys. However, but there taking performance enhance drugs to compete at a high level for whatever reasons.

Anti-doping a big deal in BJJ

I believe he shouldn’t compete if he thinks he can’t compete at a high level. Let other athletes compete and allow them to show their skill set at a high level too. We already have anti-doping problem in all sports witch I’m fine with because every sports organization isn’t perfect. But I choose jiu-jitsu as my sport because they said it’s for everyone can do it. Well, it doesn’t seem to be with this case because some of these athletes are a lot older than some of the younger guys that got caught.

Really hoping our BJJ athletes stop doping just to perform better for themselves. Because a lot of other athletes looks up to these guys and probably more so for the younger athletes as well.

Question? Are their enhance performing drugs really helping their jiu-jitsu for the better or is for just recovery?
